The day started early. 4:30 am to be exact. Destination Souix Falls South Dakota to meet up with Matthew Lopez as he sets out to improve his record to 8-0. He will be fighting for RFA 37 April 15th live on axis tv.
First I must escape from Las Vegas. Special thanks goes out to Big L for meeting me at the house at the crack of dawn.
I thought that traveling would be easy on a Wednesday, boy was I wrong. The airport was packed. Luckily for me I shaved my beard and was able to pass right through TSA without being searched on the side and tested for explosives. Off we go headed for Minneapolis/St. Paul
Landed in Minneapolis/St. Paul only to find out that my terminal was on the other side of the airport. Usually that's no problem, except for today the tram was being repaired. Now I'm in a mad dash to find terminal A. I felt like I was run walking for an hour. It was literally on the other side of the airport at the end of the terminal. I ran as fast as I could all to be put on this tiny airplane.
After boarding this tiny craft, I could hardly fit my back pack in the overhead compartment. This plane was so small that I got airsick and almost lost my breakfast twice. Lucky for me my seat mate was nice and skinny.
Arrived in South Dakota way ahead of everyone else. This was cool. It allowed plenty of time to talk to the wife and explore the city.
The best part of the day so far was early dinner at JL Beers, awesome burgers. I feel way better now that I ate. After that bumpy ride.
I'm going to head back to the hotel and wait for Matt and Danny to arrive.
